It's official! PUNK'D have managed to tour together for more than 12 months without falling out and splitting up (again)!
After the gruelling 30 date tour, which many critics said wouldn't last more than two shows, the band appear tighter and more focused than ever--and even seem to be getting along--even after the much publicised (and somewhat acrimonious) break-up in December 2008.
According to one Daily Bollocks reader, all four members of the band were recently seen out ice skating together, and on a separate occasion Stevie-Boy Newton and Kev (Slob) Vegas were spotted at a Brierly Hill cinema after having watched the 3D blockbuster film "Avatar". When asked to confirm this, Slob told the Daily Bollocks, "Yes, we did go to a cinema together, but it wasn't a social thing. It was just for me to steal some 3D glasses for my stage gear. We're not an item or anything… Stevie-Boy is still a w***er"!
The tour (cheekily dubbed "The Credit Crunch Reunion Tour) saw PUNK'D perform at many local venues, but also visited top venues in Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, London and Northern Ireland. But surely one highlight of the tour must have been playing to a capacity crowd at The River Rooms, Stourbridge (the band's own local "stomping ground") in July.
PUNK'D bassist and manager, Dave Bass, told the Daily Bollocks, "Yes, the reunion tour has been a resounding success--and I'm really pleased that we've all managed to put the past behind us and get back out and play again. Things are looking very good for PUNK'D right now. Apart from regular gigs at all the best venues, we are currently in talks with a major record label with a view to releasing a self penned single in 2011. This could also coincide with a European tour and some major network TV appearances. PUNK'D are well and truly BACK!"
